Critters
These are our furrier family members.
Brewser
This lil guy is our Brewser. I brought him home from my grandparent's kennel. But I had to take him back because I was affraid
he was too small and that my hubby would step on him. He never looks out for my critters. Either way though, I still get to see my
little cutie!
This is my buddy, Bentley. He's the oldest and the chubbiest of all of my critters. This lil guy is really smart. SO smart
in fact that we decided to leave our Christmas Sleighbells on the door knob because he started using them to let us know when
he wanted to go outside. A kind of...Hello, gotta potty. Let's go people! He also knows to grab the doorknob and to paw at each
side to try to turn it. Haha. And other days you will find him hanging from the back doors windowsil, where he likes make you aware
that he needs in. (No Jinglebells out there. lol) Let me tell ya, It's a scary moment when you just walk through the house to
turn the lights off and you see little beady green eyes dartin around in the window of the door. lol!
This is Miss Boogie. Technically her name is Boogar but I decided that I really didn't want to be hollerin' c'mere Boogar! out of
my front door every night. Boog came from Connie's house (my momma-n-law). Boogie was a kitten that had been abandoned and
Connie's hubby took her in. She was an inside cat for a short SHORT while but had to be let outside because she was a kitten brought
home too close to Christmas. And we all know that kittens and Christmas trees don't exactly mesh well. So after a year of being a
barn cat, I told Connie that one day I was going to kidnap Boog for my own because of her good nature. So, I did. haha. We brought
her home and tried her out as an indoor gal and she has loved the good life since then. She has basically turned into my hubby's cat.
He's not fond of all my critters but at least Boog's silly tendencies make him laugh. Like the obsession she has with his work boots.
I don't know how many times I've seen Miss Boog sleeping on them or trying to crawl in them. Boogie also is a smart lil' gal. Her
method of let me in & let me out is "knocking" at the door. She stands on her hind legs, and taps in the corner of one of
the window panes of our doors and does a little wiggle. The "Boogie-Wiggle".
(If you happen to know of Momma kitties where-abouts let me know.)
This is my lil bunny girl. She is a bobbed tail cat. Bunny is our black sheep of the family. She's the most odd of colors but so cute
in her own little way. I've sort of given her the title of my lil Funny Bunny. She runs like a rabbit and of course has the little
fluffy rabbit tail. She also has the cutest little round eyes that remind me of a child that has the coke bottle bottom eye glasses.
I adore this lil gal and ever since her momma left (momma is the bottom photo), she's my lil' clingy baby. Always wants to be
near me. She's so strong willed about me that when I had her spayed...she was still under sooo much anesthesia and barely could walk...BUT,
if I got up to get a drink from being on the couch with her - She would flop off and follow me to the kitchen. I finally had to just
take her with me everywhere. WHAT a spoiled kitty! Oh and we can't forget that Miss Bunny Girl is our little pooter. And I say that
literally. lol!
This lil gal is my DoriBug. She is one the newest additions to our family. I got Dori from the humane society. She was born there
with about 5 or so other lil ones. Dori was the smallest and least fluffy out of a liter of puffballs. I decided that the runt was
going to be our best bet because there was no way the others wouldn't find homes. I'm a sucker for a little lost cause. So we brought
Dori home and she's run this house from one end to the other ... to the moon and back. She has turned into the baby when it comes
to the other cats because they all protect her. Her foster momma though, has turned out to be Bunny. Bunny took her in from about
2 days after she was brought home. And I couldn't have been more happy because Bunny was basically a kitten herself and like I said,
was always so clingy once her mother left. So now with a little one to care for of her own...Bunny has become more independant. And
focused her affections on her new baby that we like to sometimes call Sneezy. She's a bit allergic to our sweet annie but likes to
get into it just the same as if she weren't. Just a lil bit of baby Bene and she's good to go! Her new found talent, like the others...
is training ME to get them all water when the water bowl runs empty. She digs at the bottom with her claws out so that it makes a
loud scratchy sound and of course I come running in with the water.
This silly little guy is Charlie. I rescued Charlie from a home based No-Kill Shelter that was going out of business. (Don't worry
they still aren't having their animals put down-they just aren't accepting any more and are hoping for homes for the ones they still
have.) Anyways, back to Char. Charlie is a ball of fire. He makes sure everyone knows hes here. Loud, happy cries. Almost giggle-ish
sounding. He also loves to pester... kitties as well as our family. lol. But he is such a lil snuggler. He wants to be under your
arm when it's time for bed or napping. Most nights he sneaks on the bed without you knowing and somehow without waking you -
he gets your arm around him. The only time you realize he is there is when he blows his own cover by loving to snuggle so much that
he purs so loud that it wakes you up! Haha. He is definatly the best little movie watching buddy. Now all I hope for
is his lil paws not to thump so loud as he rumbles through the house playing. Sometimes the neutering works... and sometimes
you get a Charlie reguardless! Oh yea, and those paws are not as grizzly as they look... he just really wanted the strap to my
camera! lol
